Stay Rite's Story:
My owner had to give me up because her health deteriorate making
it difficult for her to care for him.
She told us: "He worked the standard bred tracks until
he was sold at age 12. I bought him and kept him for the past
12 years as a pleasure driving horse."
Our vet examined him and found some issues that suggested perhaps
he be retired from driving. He is also going on 25 and he's starting
to show his age.
He's a good boy but a little nervous. He prefers not to be locked
in a stall and does nibble on wood (not crib) when anxious.
We have him at a wonderful foster home which has pledged to take
care of him indefinitely. If you can't give him a home, can you
consider sponsoring some of the care
he needs? $10 deworming, $25 hoof trim, $100 vaccinations, or
$50 vet exam?
