Updates since adopted:
Cookie & Brownie were both taken in by the same nice woman
near Calvert.
These girls are her only horses at the moment, so they get lots
and lots of attention. They're enjoying the quiet life on a huge,
scenic farm.
Our farrier has gone back to visit them since adoption and they're
doing great. They're starting to settle in & really trust
their new "mom".
Cookie & brownie's story:
These girls were put on Freecyle, given away, then given away
again to a good home whose barn owner just lost the farm. With
only days to move all her horses, the woman couldn't take these
two new rescue cases.
The first foster mom got them started to the road of recovery.
They gained weight, got over their rainrot, and looked much better.
It was time for another foster home to take them for awhile, and
they enjoyed time off in a 50 acre pasture.
They seem to understand lunging, but we don't know how much riding
training they've had.
