Updates since adopted:
He's been doing great adusting to his new life. He's gaining
weight. It's a no-stress kind of life, no race or competition.
What a lucky guy!
Boxy's story:
Box Office worked hard at the track. When it was time for his
retirement, he needed somewhere new to go. He tried out a job
as a competitive dressage horse, but it wasn't right for him.
The owner wanted a good home for Boxy and waited for an opening
at Equihab. He's not a true "rescue" in the sense that
he wasn't abused or abandoned, but his owner wasn't having luck
finding him a good forever home. The owner was a friend of Equihab
and any extra we made on adopting him out would really help our
program, putting food on the table for the rest of the horses.
