$$$ $500 CASH REWARD $$$
| To date, all of
our adoptive homes have taken good care of the horses
and none have "disappeared".
However, to make recovery
of a wrongly "disappeared" horse possible and to deter wrongful
resale-abandonment-slaughter, Equihab will reward anyone for
the recovery or information leading to recovery of any Equihab
horse.
|
We offer
a $500 cash reward to anyone giving us information leading
to the recovery of an Equihab horse in any place besides with his adoptive
home: auction, kill pen, broker lot, or newspaper classified.
We will keep your
information totally confidential. And you'll be doing a wonderful good
deed, protecting the horse from an uncertain fate.
.
We microchip
ALL of our horses with a unique serial number.
CALL HORSETRAC at 1-800-336-2848 to find out if this horse is
one of ours OR to see if he/she is on a "hot list" of any missing or
stolen horses. HorseTRAC works for any microchipped horse that's registered
in their database. If you don't have a scanner, ask your SPCA, vet office,
or law enforcement for help. Most SPCAs will have one, and a standard
AVID (or similar) scanner will read these chips.
We will come &
recover our horse immediately.
We will
happily scan horses you bring to us at no charge. We're happy
to ID any horse!
If you're
unsure it's one of our horses, contact us.
We can also show you photos of the horse(s) of ours you suspect
it might be. We keep front/side color photos of all of our horses
on file.
A horse admitted
into the Equihab program must NEVER be sent to slaughter, auction, resale,
broker, abandoned, raced, turned loose, starved, seized, given to another
rescue, or appear in a public shelter. They always have a home back
with us -- there is no excuse or reason they should go anywhere else.
We will come and
recover our horse immediately.
We will pay you
up to $500 (if required) to regain possession of our wrongly resold
horse.
Or we will issue
up to a $500 reward for information leading to the discovery &
recovery of one of our horses should he ever be found anywhere he
does not belong (see above for list). Reward funds to be issued
once horse is physically back in our possession.
We will keep the
person who tipped us off confidential.
We will hold the adoptive
home who allowed it to happen or breach of contract and for any harm
that might have befallen the horse (for example the cost of rehabilitating
the horse once he is emaciated). Adoptive homes: you must file a police
report if the horse disappears or is "stolen".
If you have a
horse you suspect was sold or abandoned wrongfully, he/she may still
be stolen!
Please check
with NetPosse, HorseTrac at 1-800-336-2848 (alternate
number is 800-434-2843), and your local law enforcement.
